A working fire at Cottonwood Road and Watts Drive drew a multi-engine response shortly before midnight, and crews were sent to a second working fire behind a brick wall near Shell and Ethel streets in the early morning hours. Officers also broadcast an officer-safety warning after shots were reported near White Lane and Old River Road, handled a reported stabbing and a man with a machete at a Union Avenue business, and worked a string of domestic and medical calls across the county.

Around 11:25 p.m., a Fire 2 assignment was ordered at the Cottonwood Road and Watts Drive intersection, bringing multiple engines and a battalion chief to the scene. Additional callers reported smoke in the area, which crews confirmed was the same incident.

Second working fire near Shell and Ethel streets.
Around 3:17 a.m., crews were sent to a fire reported behind a brick wall at Shell Street and Ethel Street, described as large in size. Multiple engines, a truck company and a battalion chief were assigned.

Around 3:09 a.m., officers broadcast an officer-safety warning of shots in the central area of White Lane and Old River Road.
Stabbing reported in Bakersfield.
Around 9:53 p.m., officers were asked to respond to a reported stabbing that had just occurred; a nearby unit was requested for the call.

Just after midnight, a Fire 2 assignment was ordered for a fire outside the Golden West Casino on South Union Avenue, with multiple engines, a rescue unit and a battalion chief responding.
