Every brief is assembled from public records and linked sources. Items are summarized factually, attributed to their source, and linked to the original. We do not write opinions, we do not republish copyrighted article text, and we do not publish unverified claims as fact.
Sources
Primary sources include City of Bakersfield eSCRIBE meeting records, Kern County Board of Supervisors agendas, California ABC license filings, Kern County Environmental Health closures, CHP incidents, National Weather Service alerts, California DWR/CDEC reservoir data, EPA AirNow, CAL FIRE, Caltrans road conditions, and OpenStreetMap (ODbL) for camera locations. News headlines link to the original reporter's article.
