Two men in an older tan Toyota Camry were reported trying to get an 18-year-old woman into their vehicle near Union Avenue and Columbus Street late Monday night, sending officers searching the area. Into the early hours of Tuesday, police also responded to a knife disturbance on the 2800 block of C Street where a resident barricaded herself in a bathroom, chased a minibike at low speed through east Bakersfield, and investigated a report of a brick thrown through a woman's car and patio door on Coventry Drive.

Possible attempted abduction near Union Avenue and Columbus Street.
Shortly before 11 p.m., a caller reported two men in a tan older Toyota Camry attempting to get an 18-year-old woman into their vehicle at the intersection of Union Avenue and Columbus Street. The vehicle was last seen heading northbound on Union Avenue as officers searched the area.

Knife disturbance on the 2800 block of C Street.
Around 1 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance on the 2800 block of C Street where a subject was reported in possession of a butcher knife, with additional knives inside the garage, while the reporting party stayed barricaded in a bathroom.
Slow-speed minibike chase through east Bakersfield.
Shortly before 2 a.m., officers pursued a minibike at low speed — westbound on Oregon Street, then northbound on Gage Avenue and across Niles Street — with speeds holding between roughly 15 and 37 mph under light traffic.
A 2017 Nissan refused to stop in east Bakersfield.
Around 3:15 a.m., a unit began tracking a 2017 Nissan that refused to stop for officers in east Bakersfield.
Brick thrown through a car and patio door on Coventry Drive.
Around 12:30 a.m., a woman reported her ex-boyfriend threw a brick through her vehicle and patio door on Coventry Drive. Officers were investigating.

- 12:31 a.m. — Runaway_juvenile, near a park, Bakersfield. Search for a missing juvenile believed to be with a known associate across from a park; the juvenile was not supposed to be in that person's company.
- 1:47 a.m. — Arrest, Bakersfield. Two people taken into custody during a vehicle stop; officers cleared the vehicle before continuing.
